Paint Master || TORTURE (RED VARIANT)
In collaboration for Designer Con 2020 here lies "TORTURE (CHICAGO RED)". A paint variant by yours truly. If you follow the work of Miguel Wilson & Nerdy Chavez (Rad Retro Power) then you are no stranger to the line of figures they have produced.
This version is limited to 5 pieces incased in a custom frame. I love framing certain art toys, so i wanted to share that with this exclusive release. I mixed the concepts of both MJ's (Michael Jackson x Michael Jordan). After finally seeing the series 'The Last Dance" and hearing the song "Chicago" by MJ, i saw that this was a perfect blend. The all red suit instantly screams "Thriller", which originally was not the intent but became a close end result. I played off the Chicago Bulls colors of reds, white, and black. The reds are more noticeable on the logos.
His outfit carries three types of seals for depth. The jacket sealed with semi-clear and then a light sheen of dead flat. His shirt and pants are sealed in a flat matte coat with gloss on the shoes, hair, and shades. An additional last minute detail are the wolf eyes from the end of Thriller. I felt that would be a cool tidbit for those who would own.
For kicks i decided to mirror chrome the glove for a different take on the power glove. The frames were custom painted with the exact same paints of the figure to match the colors intensities. Yet i used a super smooth flat top coat on them only.
